My Letter to You
When I look at your face, then into your eyes
I struggle for words I can say
to help ease the pain and contrition you feel
that keep those events in replay.
‘Oft there’s more to our journey than a path straight and flat.
There may be rivers, curves, or hills in our way.
There may be hurdles we see coming, or those that we don’t
or simply perceptions that we’ve gone astray.
Please be gentle with yourself in your struggle to cope.
You have the courage to see this thing through.
Your intent is the saviour for your own self-esteem
and your heart is your doorway to You.
