Surrender
Fresh winds are blowing; I can feel from afar
that they swirl and twirl and clean.
Can I bring them this way, to swirl around me
as I struggle with fears still unseen?
Be willing to hear what you are not saying
and see what you’re hiding inside;
then call on the winds and ask for their help
They’ll blow gently and come as your guide.
Be willing to sort, and then to let go,
to choose what to shed, what to keep;
then call on the winds to come help as you clean.
They’ll be there to blow firmly and deep.
Be willing to feel empathy, kindness and delight,
and also feel sorrow and pain.
Be willing to see clearly through ego and mask
and know the winds blow not in vain.
Yes, the winds come to help when we need them the most;
the process is ongoing and true.
If you call on the winds, they’ll be there in a jiff
when there’s willingness to surrender and renew.
